KARACHI: Amir Jamat-e-Islami Syed Munawar Hassan on Sunday ruled out any change in the country's situation as long as 'Zardari and Gilani remain in power', Geo News reported.
In his address to a massive rally in the heart of the metropolis, the JI Amir said the people had become awake and that they now demand an Islamic system in the country. "The nation should prepare itself for a revolution," he asserted.
He said (President) Zardari had no majority and it was Nawaz Sharif who strengthened him with his support. "As long as the present government remains in power, Nawaz Sharif will also continue to get its Sawab," he added.
Syed Munawas Hassan said the people had no benefit out of the 'US or Russian system', adding 'we should have our own foreign policy'. Taking Awami National Party with both hands, he accused that it took Rubles from Russia in the past and was now taking dollars from the US.
He said religious people had been subjected to a propaganda, adding the leadership of Jamat-e-Islami had not carried any blemish of corruption or loot. "Only the bearded men and veiled women will change Pakistan's destiny," he claimed.
